On May 28, 2026, just before the Computex exhibition, Qualcomm introduced its Snapdragon C-series chips tailored for entry-level laptops. These processors are specifically crafted for laptops priced at around $300 (equivalent to approximately RMB 2,100), catering to a broad user base including students, families, and small office users. On August 13, Qualcomm disclosed comprehensive specifications along with real-world performance metrics.

The Snapdragon C series boasts an 8-core Kryo CPU architecture, featuring a peak single-core frequency of 3GHz and a maximum multi-core frequency of 2GHz. According to the official statement, it is capable of running 4 cores at 2.0GHz and 3 cores at 2.6GHz concurrently. The chip integrates an Adreno GPU (operating at up to 900MHz) and a Hexagon NPU, supporting memory configurations up to 16GB of LPDDR5/5x and PCIe 3.0 NVMe solid-state drives.

For wireless connectivity, the chip is equipped with FastConnect C6700, which supports Wi-Fi 6/6E standards, and USB interfaces conforming to the 3.1 standard. Real-world performance data indicates that, when operating in battery power mode, the Snapdragon C reference design machine, equipped with 8GB of memory, exhibits a 44% enhancement in GeekBench single-core performance and a 24% improvement in multi-core performance compared to the Intel N250 platform. In Cinebench tests, it demonstrates a 50% surge in single-thread performance and a 67% boost in multi-thread performance, coupled with a 67% extension in battery life and a 2.1-fold increase in energy efficiency.
