In certain games, this performance drop can peak at a substantial 25.3%. Furthermore, it is observed that the higher the CPU's performance capabilities, the more pronounced the performance degradation. Considering the recent notable surge in DDR5 memory prices, the LGA 1700 platform, which accommodates both DDR4 and DDR5 memory modules, is increasingly viewed by gamers as a cost-effective transitional option. This strategy entails initially pairing a new CPU with DDR4 memory and subsequently upgrading to DDR5 at a later stage, thereby mitigating the expenses associated with a complete platform overhaul in one go.
