SK Hynix announced its plan to significantly expand HBM4 production capacity in the second half of 2026, having already signed long-term chip supply agreements with 10 major industry customers. The company expects DRAM shipments to increase by approximately 10% in the third quarter of 2026 compared to the second quarter, while NAND flash memory shipments will see a slight rise in the low single digits (1% to 4%). The long-term supply agreements will adopt a differentiated pricing mechanism, with prices varying based on customer type and chip product characteristics to mitigate sharp cyclical fluctuations in memory prices. This move will significantly enhance the certainty of medium- to long-term orders and demand for the enterprise.
