According to reports from media outlets like Reuters, China’s state-owned enterprise Shanghai Aisengna Electronic Technology Group, working in partnership with Shanghai Micro Electronics Equipment (SMEE) and Shanghai Electric Group, has achieved a significant technological breakthrough in developing domestically-produced deep ultraviolet (DUV) chip manufacturing equipment. Despite this notable achievement, industry analysts assert that, in the short term, locally-made DUV immersion lithography machines are still not advanced enough to pose a serious challenge to the market dominance of global industry leader ASML.
