To strengthen the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and accelerate its pursuit of catching up with TSMC, Intel Foundry Services (IFS) and EDA leader Cadence have announced a significant collaboration. Cadence's AI-driven digital and custom reference flows, design tools, and solutions have been certified for Intel's Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A process nodes. The two parties will deepen their DTCO (Design Technology Co-Optimization) collaboration, focusing on optimizing tools, flows, and methodologies to achieve industry-leading PPA (Performance, Power, Area) performance. The collaboration will also leverage Cadence's generative AI flows and core products to accelerate time-to-market and reduce design risks. This partnership marks a significant milestone in their relationship, aiming to drive technological advancements and expedite the development of next-generation products.
