The demand for TSMC's 2-nanometer production capacity is outstripping supply, as evidenced by orders that have already been booked through to 2028. In Taiwan, China, five factories are making swift progress towards achieving mass production. Notably, the first-year output in 2026 is anticipated to surge by 45% when compared to the production volume of 3-nanometer technology. Furthermore, by the end of that year, the monthly production capacity is projected to soar to 140,000 wafers.
