According to reports, the Suwon District Court in South Korea supported some of the claims made by Samsung Electronics, ruling that two former NAND flash memory design employees, who had worked in Samsung's memory division for approximately 10 to 11 years and joined SK Hynix in February this year, are prohibited from working for SK Hynix and its affiliated companies until April 30, 2027. Samsung Electronics had originally requested the enforcement of a two-year non-compete agreement, but the court shortened the duration to 18 months. The court stated that the NAND flash memory design technology involved is considered a national core technology.
