On July 13th, news emerged that the Science and Technology Commission of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, in tandem with the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, officially released a document on July 11th. This document formally authorized Wuxi Chipown Electronic Co., Ltd. to take the helm, working in partnership with Southeast University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, to establish the 'Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Power Integrated Circuits and Modules (in the process of establishment)'. This laboratory has been earmarked as one of the inaugural 39 provincial key laboratories, led by enterprises and currently in the preparatory phase within the province.

The laboratory will concentrate its efforts on the comprehensive power supply system tailored for AI servers. Its research will primarily revolve around SST ultra-high voltage isolation digital drive chips and modules, highly dependable and integrated digital-analog hybrid power supply chips and modules, end-supply digital multi-phase controllers, intelligent power modules, SiC/GaN wide-bandgap integrated chips and modules, innovative control architectures for power integration, application systems, and other pertinent areas. The overarching goal is to construct a holistic AI computing energy supply technology system.
