According to local government sources in Vietnam, on June 4, 2026, LG Innotek signed a memorandum of understanding with Haiphong City, Vietnam, to invest US$1 billion in expanding a semiconductor substrate factory. The factory will cover an area of approximately 330,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 45 football fields, with construction expected to commence in July 2026 and production to begin in May 2027.
