Sources revealed that between April and May this year, EDA giant Synopsys notified over 10 chip manufacturers, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, that it would discontinue some of its traditional analysis products, including Equipment Engineering System (EES) and Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) software, aiming to concentrate resources on high-margin businesses such as AI design.
