Although Chinese courts have issued a sales ban on Infineon's infringing gallium nitride products, the patent war between Infineon and Innoscience continues. On July 1, 2026, at the Munich Electronics Show in Shanghai, Infineon was caught by Innoscience displaying the banned infringing gallium nitride products and was requested to withdraw them from the exhibition. Previously, the Suzhou Intermediate People's Court had ruled that Infineon infringed two core patents of Innoscience, requiring it to cease the infringement and pay 10 million yuan in compensation. The Supreme People's Court also upheld this ban. Despite this, Infineon still insists on asserting its rights through legal proceedings, with both sides engaging in fierce confrontations across multiple jurisdictions globally.
