On July 3, Montage Technology made an announcement during a dedicated investor research session. The company had unveiled the world's inaugural CXL MXC chip back in 2022 and was subsequently chosen for the inaugural batch of CXL1.1 and CXL2.0 compliant supplier lists released by the CXL Consortium. Fast forward to September 2025, Montage Technology introduced its latest innovation—the CXL3.1 MXC chip. This cutting-edge chip has already been sampled and rigorously tested by major clients, solidifying the company's continued leadership in technological advancements within the industry.

In the same year's January, the company also rolled out the PCIe 6.x/CXL 3.x Retimer chip and began providing samples to clients. It is actively engaging with them in collaborative testing and validation processes. Given that server CPUs compatible with PCIe6.0 have not yet entered mass production, the associated Retimer chips are still in the introductory phase within the industry. However, there is anticipation that PCIe6.0 Retimer chips will officially make their way into large-scale applications by 2027.
