The notable rise in capital expenditures will directly impact the equipment market. Specifically, the global front-end semiconductor equipment market (WFE) is projected to reach USD 241.4 billion in 2028, up approximately 108% from 2025; the back-end semiconductor equipment market is expected to reach about USD 38.3 billion, a substantial increase of 136.9% from USD 16.16 billion in 2025. In terms of downstream demand, the memory sector is projected to grow by 150%, while the wafer foundry sector is expected to grow by 91.4%.
