SK Hynix has outlined plans to build a substantial NAND flash memory wafer fabrication facility in Cheongju, situated in South Chungcheong Province. This new plant is slated to commence operations in 2029. As part of a broader initiative, SK Group intends to invest a staggering 170 trillion won in the Chungcheong region. This investment will encompass not only the NAND flash memory plant but also extend to advanced packaging solutions and AI data centers, with the overarching goal of fostering a global AI hub.
