Micron Technology and General Motors have reached an agreement for the supply of in-vehicle memory and storage platforms, with the related products to be used in vehicle manufacturing. Both parties emphasized that the stability and continuity of memory supply are crucial to the industry. They will jointly develop new memory and storage technologies required for next-generation vehicles, engage in in-depth technical collaboration, unify product standards, optimize system solutions, and obtain automotive-grade certifications to support the implementation of General Motors' new-generation vehicle architecture and product planning. The agreement will leverage Micron's continuously expanding production capacity in the United States, including the recently upgraded memory chip factory in Virginia. This agreement is one of 16 similar agreements disclosed by Micron during its fiscal third quarter 2026 earnings call.
