As reported by CCTV Business, the swift advancement of the AI sector has notably escalated tin prices. From 300,000 yuan per ton in November of the previous year, the price has climbed to approximately 420,000 yuan per ton at present, representing a 40% surge within a mere half-year period and hitting an all-time high. Given its exceptional electrical conductivity, low melting point, and robust welding stability, tin has emerged as a crucial material in cutting-edge semiconductor packaging processes. The escalating demand for computing power and the increased density of chip stacking have further fueled tin consumption, leading to its moniker as the 'metal of computing power'.
