Complications have arisen after Samsung Electronics reached a preliminary agreement with chip division employees on a bonus of approximately 40 trillion won (US$2.66 billion). One of Samsung's smallest labor unions, representing non-semiconductor division employees and primarily composed of members from the Digital Experience Division, filed an injunction with a South Korean court on Tuesday, demanding a halt to the vote on the agreement. The leader of the union claimed that Samsung's largest labor union, which led last week's wage negotiations, was heavily biased towards the chip division, thereby undermining the interests of other business divisions.
