Recently, the "Draft Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Fujian Province's Optoelectronic Industry Cluster during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period" has been made available for public comment. The plan envisions that by 2030, the revenue scale of the optoelectronic industry cluster across Fujian Province will exceed RMB 300 billion, laying the foundation for a comprehensive and ecologically sustainable optoelectronic industry cluster with significant international influence.

In the realm of optical communications, the plan addresses the growing demands of various scenarios, including AI computing center interconnections and high-speed data center interconnections. Emphasis will be placed on the development of cutting-edge technologies such as high-performance coherent optical systems (OCS), linearly driven pluggable optical modules (LPO), near-package optoelectronics (NPO), co-package optoelectronics (CPO), Micro LED+CPO multi-channel low-power optical communications, and silicon photonics technology.

Moreover, there will be a concerted effort to expedite the research, development, and industrialization of key products, including ≥200G EML, ≥800mW high-power lasers, and ≥800G high-speed optical modules. Simultaneously, support will be extended to leading enterprises to venture into niche markets such as marine optical cables and high-performance optical cables, thereby continuously refining and strengthening the optoelectronic industry chain.
