Following Trump's visit to China, reports confirm that China has not given the green light for the procurement of NVIDIA's H200 chips, as the nation remains steadfast in its commitment to bolstering its domestic chip sector. Earlier, although the US eased restrictions on H200 chip sales to China, it imposed tough stipulations. These included a hefty 25% cut of sales revenue, limitations on procurement volumes, and rigorous scrutiny processes—all of which have dampened enthusiasm among Chinese firms for purchasing these chips. Concurrently, China's homegrown chips have witnessed significant performance enhancements, offering excellent cost-efficiency and eliminating any security concerns, thereby adequately fulfilling domestic requirements.
