On April 20, Chen Hongliang, the President of Huayou Cobalt, announced at the performance and cash dividend briefing session that the company’s lithium resource project in Zimbabwe has secured approval for exporting lithium concentrate and is now progressing with the subsequent procedures. Huayou Cobalt mainly manufactures two key products in Zimbabwe: lithium concentrate and lithium sulfate. Once the export procedures are finalized, it is expected to take approximately three months for the shipments to reach their domestic destinations. While logistics may introduce some short-term variability in the raw material supply for the company’s lithium carbonate project in Guangxi, the overall production is anticipated to remain largely unaffected.
