Google in Talks with Marvell Technology to Craft Two Innovative Chips

On April 19 (local time), as revealed by two insiders with knowledge of the situation, Google is currently engaged in negotiations with Marvell Technology. The aim is to jointly develop two cutting-edge chip types, aimed at boosting the operational efficiency of artificial intelligence models. One of these chips is a memory processing unit, set to work in tandem with Google's Tensor Processing Unit (TPU). The other is a novel TPU variant, specifically tailored for executing artificial intelligence models. The two companies have set a goal to finalize the design of the memory processing unit and send it for trial production as early as next year.
