Recently, the research group led by Assistant Professor Zhao Qiancheng from the Shenzhen-Hong Kong College of Microelectronics at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), along with collaborators, has achieved a new breakthrough in the field of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) integrated nonlinear photonics. The related research findings have been published in the internationally renowned optics journal ACS Photonics (as a cover article) and presented at the 2025 IEEE International Photonics Conference (IPC 2025), with SUSTech serving as the first completing institution and the corresponding institution in both cases.
