Technology company Meta disclosed in its shareholder meeting documents that it paid Broadcom $2.3 billion (approximately RMB 15.68 billion) in the 2025 fiscal year for chip design, development, engineering services, and component product procurement. Earlier this week, Meta and Broadcom announced an expansion of their collaboration to jointly develop next-generation AI chips, with the partnership extending until 2029 and an initial deployment scale exceeding 1 gigawatt. Broadcom CEO Hock Tan will step down from Meta's board of directors and transition to an advisory role.
