During the trading session, shares of Tanya Advanced (02631) experienced a remarkable surge of nearly 10%, climbing 7.50% to reach HK$62.35 at the time of reporting, with a trading volume amounting to HK$173 million. Meanwhile, TSMC witnessed a substantial 45.2% year-on-year increase in its first-quarter revenue, marking an all-time high. During its earnings call, TSMC announced that its advanced packaging capacity is currently under strain and revealed that its core strategy will center on expanding larger-sized CoWoS technology. Sinolink Securities highlighted that TSMC intends to introduce CoWoS variants with varying reticle size multiples between 2026 and 2027. Advanced packaging has emerged as a critical factor in AI computing power, and the adoption of SiC materials is anticipated to overcome associated challenges. By 2025, Tanya Advanced is projected to capture a 27.6% share of the conductive silicon carbide substrate market, securing the top global position, with an 8-inch product market share of 51.3%, also leading the pack. China Galaxy Securities forecasts that the silicon carbide substrate market will expand to RMB 66.4 billion by 2030.
