On April 9, news broke that Xitai Technology's Global IC R&D Center and Display Module Project kicked off on March 28 in the Tianfu New Area, Meishan, Sichuan. Boasting a staggering total investment of 1.613 billion yuan and sprawling across 108 acres, this ambitious project aims to establish a state-of-the-art global IC R&D center, standardized factory premises, and several production lines dedicated to Micro-OLED (Silicon-Based OLED) modules. The construction of the project will unfold in two distinct phases. The first phase is slated to commence operations in June 2027, laying the groundwork for the project's initial production capabilities. Meanwhile, the second phase will usher in additional module production lines and OEM complete device production lines, further expanding the project's manufacturing prowess. Upon reaching full completion, the project is projected to achieve an impressive annual production capacity of 10 million display modules and 3 million OEM complete devices. This milestone will mark a significant leap forward in bolstering Sichuan's foothold in the burgeoning new display industry.
