On April 10, ASE Technology Holding's subsidiary, Taiwan-based Foxsemicon Integrated Technology, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new factory in the Renwu Industrial Park in Kaohsiung, marking the official launch of its significant layout in the high-end semiconductor testing services sector. With a total investment of 23.3 billion yuan, this project represents one of ASE's largest single investments in Taiwan in recent years and is expected to significantly enhance its production capacity and technological capabilities in high-end chip testing. The new factory will focus on providing advanced testing services for wafers and chips. The first phase of the plant is expected to commence operations in April 2027, with the second phase planned to become operational in October of the same year. Upon full operation, the annual output value is projected to reach 38.134 billion yuan, creating over a thousand high-tech jobs in Kaohsiung.
