On April 9, key divisions within the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Energy Administration, organized a symposium targeting enterprises within the power and energy storage battery industries. The objective was to strategize and implement measures aimed at standardizing the industrial competitive landscape. The symposium underscored the critical significance and immediate necessity of tackling 'involutionary' competition—a term referring to excessive and often counterproductive competition—firmly opposing irrational competitive behaviors, and fostering a robust market atmosphere.

The meeting outlined specific requirements to solidify the gains achieved in standardizing industrial competition. It emphasized the need for leveraging cross-departmental synergy to persistently push forward initiatives concerning capacity warnings and regulatory controls, standardizing pricing competitions, streamlining supplier payment cycles, intensifying quality oversight, cracking down on intellectual property violations, addressing the issue of 'externalized involution' (where competition pressures are shifted outward in detrimental ways), and regulating local investment attraction strategies. These efforts are geared towards propelling the industrial development towards a higher quality trajectory.

Furthermore, the symposium delved into the creation of a list detailing negative behaviors associated with irrational competition within the industry, aiming to provide clear guidelines and deterrents against such practices.
