Following over six months of uninterrupted price surges, the prices of memory and SSDs have recently begun to show signs of a slowdown. Some have speculated that the memory market is on the brink of collapse, yet this is far from the truth; the memory price supercycle is set to persist. According to a research report released by Bank of America, this supercycle in the memory sector is anticipated to extend until 2027-2028, a forecast that is relatively cautious. The report further highlights that, despite ongoing capacity expansions, the annual bit growth rate for memory and flash memory chips is projected to remain below 20% from 2028 to 2030.
