Apple has announced that it will include Bosch, Cirrus Logic, TDK, and Qnity Electronics in its U.S. manufacturing initiative, with plans to invest $400 million by 2030 to expand the domestic production of key components. This expansion builds upon Apple's commitment made last year to invest $600 billion in U.S. manufacturing. The new collaboration will focus on the production of sensors, integrated circuits, and advanced materials, with some components being manufactured in the U.S. for the first time, helping to create job opportunities and enhance the strength of relevant U.S. industries. Specifically, Apple will collaborate with Bosch and TSMC to produce sensor hardware chips, partner with Cirrus Logic and GlobalFoundries to develop semiconductor process technologies, TDK will produce sensors in the U.S. for the first time, and Qnity Electronics will be responsible for supplying key materials.
