On March 26, Alex Qian from Qualcomm stated that 2026 will mark a significant milestone for the development of AI agents, which are poised for substantial growth. Currently, AI continues to evolve in areas such as human-computer interaction interfaces, driving the emergence of a new generation of personal AI devices. The importance of communication, sensing, and computing as key infrastructure for AI development is becoming increasingly prominent. 2026 will also be a critical year for 6G standardization. Qualcomm has reached a consensus on 6G development with 60 global partners, one-third of whom are from China. All parties have clarified that a roadmap for the gradual delivery of 6G commercial systems will be implemented starting from 2029, with AI driving accelerating the development process of 6G.
