British chip design company Arm announced on March 24 the launch of its new AI data center chip, the AGI CPU, marking its entry into the data center market with its own mass-produced chip for the first time, targeting agentic AI workloads. The chip is based on a 3nm manufacturing process, integrating up to 136 Neoverse V3 cores in a single chip, with a power consumption of 300W and support for up to 6TB of memory capacity. Meta has become its first major customer, with the new business expected to generate approximately $15 billion in annual revenue over the next five years, driving Arm's total annual sales to $25 billion.
