Storage giant Kioxia recently notified customers that it will halt production of MLC NAND flash memory products packaged in TSOP, affecting small-capacity storage chips ranging from 8Gb to 64Gb. The primary reason for the production halt is limited production capacity and substrate supply, making it difficult to sustain the relevant product lines. Customers are required to place their final orders before September 15, 2026, and complete final shipments before March 15, 2027.
