On March 20, sources revealed that Horizon Robotics (09660.HK) is advancing the development of its next-generation intelligent driving chip, the Journey 7 (J7) series. The top-tier variant, J7P, is projected to substantially outperform NVIDIA Thor-X in terms of target computing power, with mass production slated for 2027. The J7 series will retain a product architecture akin to that of the current flagship model, J6. Additionally, Horizon Robotics announced its intention to launch a new chip, dubbed ‘Xingkong,’ in April of this year. This chip is tailored for integrated cabin-driving systems, supports the deployment of localized large-scale cabin models, and is expected to enter mass production within the year.
