According to ETNews, Intel has notified its major customers of its plan to raise prices of its entire lineup of PC CPUs by 10% starting from the end of this month. The price adjustment will cover mainstream product lines, ranging from entry-level to high-end flagship processors. This price increase stems from the evolution of AI technology into the inference phase, leading to a surge in workloads reliant on CPUs. Coupled with Intel's priority in safeguarding its data center business, which has resulted in tight supply for the PC segment, and the pressure on companies to improve their financial performance amid profitability challenges.
