The robust demand for artificial intelligence (AI) is fueling persistent price hikes across the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) industry chain. The latest developments reveal that Resonac, a prominent Japanese semiconductor materials behemoth, is set to implement a 30% price surge for Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) and adhesive films, effective from March 1. Industry analysts anticipate that Resonac's price adjustments will reverberate throughout high-end manufacturing domains, including Multilayer Ceramic Chip Capacitors (MLCC), High-Density Interconnect (HDI) boards, IC substrates, and high-frequency, high-speed PCBs. Moreover, NVIDIA's LPU (Learning Processing Unit) inference chips are poised to act as a significant driving force behind the PCB industry's expansion.
