Multiple sources familiar with the matter stated that TSMC is requesting customers to plan and apply for capacity quotas for its N2 process as early as possible, with bookings extending as far as the second quarter of 2027. Most of the capacity for the next two years is nearly sold out. Although some capacity is still available for booking, industry insiders noted that the quota lock-in period has been extended to up to six quarters, placing greater uncertainty pressure on chip design companies when formulating their product roadmaps.
