In 2025, memory chip prices maintained an upward trajectory, bringing substantial gains to memory chip producers. As per a TrendForce report, the global DRAM industry generated revenue amounting to US$53.58 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking a notable quarter-on-quarter surge of 29.4%. The proliferation of AI applications has spurred the development of data centers, driving up the demand for memory procurement and consequently causing a significant hike in DRAM contract prices. It is anticipated that during the first quarter of 2026, the contract price escalations for the majority of DRAM products will once again pick up pace.
