Based on the most recent survey conducted by TrendForce, as artificial intelligence (AI) applications progress from large language model (LLM) training to the inference stage, cloud service providers (CSPs) have redirected their data center construction focus from AI-specific servers to general-purpose servers. Consequently, this shift has expanded the scope of memory procurement, extending beyond high-bandwidth memory HBM3e, LPDDR5X, and high-capacity registered dual in-line memory modules (RDIMMs) to encompass RDIMMs of diverse capacities. CSPs are actively increasing their orders, fueling a notable surge in contract prices for conventional DRAM. Projections indicate that the DRAM industry's revenue will soar to US$53.58 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, signifying a substantial 29.4% increase compared to the previous quarter.
