On February 25, as the trading day drew to a close, the three principal U.S. stock indices—the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the Nasdaq Composite, and the S&P 500—all finished in positive territory. The Dow climbed by 0.76%, the Nasdaq surged ahead with a 1.04% increase, and the S&P 500 posted a 0.77% gain. The tech sector, particularly large-cap stocks, was a major driver of these gains. Netflix stood out with a nearly 6% jump, while Microsoft and Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook) both saw their shares climb over 2%. Nvidia and Tesla also notched up gains exceeding 1%, and even industry giants Apple and Google (Alphabet) experienced modest upticks.

The positive sentiment extended to Chinese ADRs (American Depositary Receipts), with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closing 1.37% higher. XPeng, an electric vehicle manufacturer, led the charge with a remarkable 6.78% surge. However, not all stocks followed suit; Futu Holdings, for instance, experienced a slight decline of 1.89%. Other notable gainers included Li Auto, NetEase, iQiyi, and Tencent Music, all of which saw their share prices rise.

In a significant development within the tech industry, AMD secured a substantial AI chip deal with Meta. This news propelled AMD's stock price up by 8.77%, with trading volume reaching a hefty $17.246 billion, underscoring the market's enthusiasm for advancements in artificial intelligence and the companies at the forefront of this technological revolution.
