When discussing high-performance AI chips, NVIDIA and AMD often come to mind, but Qualcomm is also carving out its own space in this competitive field. Back in 2019, Qualcomm unveiled its AI100 chip, specifically engineered for AI inference tasks, which stood out for its exceptional energy efficiency. However, with the swift evolution of AI technology, the AI100 has gradually become outdated and can no longer keep pace with present-day requirements. In response, Qualcomm has rolled out enhanced versions, such as the AI100 Ultra.
In February 2026, Qualcomm made an announcement revealing that the inaugural batch of rack-level AI software and hardware solutions, built upon the AI100 Ultra, had successfully reached Saudi Arabia. This marked the commencement of the delivery process to Qualcomm’s partner, the HUMAIN data center, signifying a notable milestone for Qualcomm in the realm of AI infrastructure.
