On February 24 (local time), Meta and AMD announced a 6-gigawatt GPU procurement agreement. AMD will provide multi-generation Instinct GPU support for Meta's next-generation AI infrastructure. The total agreement value may exceed $60 billion, potentially even reaching the $100 billion level. The first batch of custom GPUs based on the MI450 architecture will be shipped in the second half of 2026, utilizing the Helios rack-level architecture jointly developed by both parties. Additionally, AMD has granted Meta performance-based warrants, allowing Meta to subscribe for up to 160 million shares of AMD common stock. The cooperation between the two parties also extends to the CPU field, with Meta becoming the first customer for the sixth-generation AMD EPYC CPUs.
