Following the 2026 Spring Festival, which fell in the Year of the Horse, a statement from global memory behemoth SK Hynix has further fueled the upward trend in global memory prices. Presently, the inventory levels for DRAM and NAND are sufficient to last only around four weeks. Industry analysts anticipate that the global memory chip price surge will persist throughout the entire year. Meanwhile, China's memory industry has established a comprehensive industrial ecosystem. Forecasts indicate that, bolstered by capital market support, China's memory chip production capacity is poised to gradually ramp up from the latter half of 2026 into 2027. This development is expected to ease the tight global memory supply situation and potentially drive prices to stabilize or even decrease.
