On February 23, TechCrunch reported that despite Neuralink's assertion of being the “trailblazer” in brain-computer interface (BCI) technology, China's BCI sector has transitioned from the research stage to large-scale applications. Peng Lei, the founder of BrainCo, mentioned that, bolstered by policy support, an expansion of clinical trials, and rising investor enthusiasm, a fresh wave of startups is propelling the commercialization of both implantable and non-invasive BCIs. China's inaugural vertical supply chain platform for BCIs, named “Brain-Computer Voice,” has established itself in the Nanjing Gulou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, offering comprehensive lifecycle services to the industry. The market size of China's BCI industry is projected to keep expanding, with enormous potential for future growth.
