On the 19th of this month (local time), Broadcom, a prominent U.S.-based technology company, proudly announced the launch of its groundbreaking DFE SoC chip, the BroadPeak BCM85021, engineered to support the forthcoming 6G cellular wireless networks. This innovative chip boasts support for 32T32R massive MIMO technology and offers a wide radio frequency operating range, spanning from 0.4 to 8.5GHz, ensuring compatibility with emerging standards such as 5G-A and 6G. By integrating pertinent modules onto a single SoC, BroadPeak achieves a remarkable reduction in power consumption by up to 40%. At present, Broadcom is providing samples of the BCM85021 to select early customers and partners for evaluation and testing.
