To challenge Intel and AMD's leading positions in the PC processor market, Qualcomm has recently successfully recruited Jason Banta, a senior executive from AMD, appointing him as Vice President of Global Computing Sales. Banta, who served at AMD for 23 years, helped drive its laptop and desktop market shares to record highs.
