A collaborative research team, led by Professor Xu Yunhua from Tianjin University and Professor Huang Fei from the South China University of Technology, along with contributions from other institutions, has successfully developed a novel organic cathode material. This breakthrough overcomes the limitations of traditional organic lithium batteries. The team's findings were published online in the prestigious journal Nature on February 19, marking a significant material advancement for the development of "green batteries." The flexible nature of this new material offers innovative solutions for energy storage. Presently, the research team is expediting the commercialization process, advancing the establishment of an organic pouch battery production line, and exploring potential commercial applications.
