The research team led by Professor Zhou Di at Xi'an Jiaotong University has put forward a multilevel heterogeneous interface engineering strategy. By constructing lattice-interlocked heterogeneous interfaces, they have successfully achieved functional integration. This significant breakthrough overcomes the traditional constraint in dielectric material design, where it was previously challenging to simultaneously realize the presence of 'traps' and 'barriers'. In doing so, it paves the way for the development of polymer dielectrics that boast both high energy density and excellent thermal stability.
