With the Spring Festival drawing near, there has been a flurry of reports concerning a recent 'slump' in memory prices across China. Concurrently, stock prices of major storage companies in the North American market have also retreated from their peaks. A reporter recently toured the Huaqiangbei market and found that, despite rumors of up to a 20% price drop for specific DDR4 memory models, numerous sellers emphasized that the actual price cuts have been relatively minor. They pointed out that DDR4 memory prices have skyrocketed five to sixfold since the end of last year and are now only undergoing a slight downturn. For instance, some models are still priced at 1,800 yuan, which remains higher than their previous levels. Other sellers highlighted that certain DDR memory models are currently in short supply, and they can only offer estimates at this time. "If your computer is still functioning adequately, we suggest holding off on upgrading the memory for now," they advised.
