Due to U.S. export restrictions on AI chips to China, NVIDIA and AMD have banned the sale of high-end workstation graphics cards in China, leading to the emergence of exclusive versions such as the RTX 6000D. This card is a cut-down version based on the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, but it has faced a cold reception in the Chinese market, with dismal sales. As of Q3 2025, domestic sales of the RTX 6000D have remained below 3,000 units, just 1/20 of the RTX 5090D's sales. This is primarily because Chinese users have low tolerance for 'exclusive versions,' and the RTX 6000D suffers from limited computing power, weakened professional features, and poor cost-effectiveness. Meanwhile, the rise of domestic chips like Huawei's Ascend, which offer performance close to international standards at lower prices, has become a more cost-effective alternative.
