He disclosed that SpaceX aims to conduct 10,000 to 30,000 annual launches within the next five years. At that point, its space-based AI computing power is projected to surpass the combined capacity of all global terrestrial computing systems. Furthermore, Musk revealed that Tesla’s AI5 chip is on track for tape-out and mass production commencement in the second quarter of 2026. The AI6 chip is slated for release less than a year following the AI5’s mass production. Additionally, he announced that the third-generation Optimus humanoid robot is expected to enter mass production by the end of 2026, with an initial annual production capacity of 1 million units. Meanwhile, the fourth-generation Optimus robot will undergo production ramp-up at Giga Texas, ultimately achieving an annual output of tens of millions of units.
